Review Report
In my learning log I have recorded and set myself 8 targets, which I have now all fully completed. My first target was to identify the purpose of blogging and create my own blog. I did this by answering questions regarding blogging which was essentially a bit of background research. I was already aware of blogger and uses so there wasn't an issue. I then signed up to make my blog, uploaded 2 videos on to my blog. Which was to evaluate viral videos of my choice.
My second target was to have by the end of the days lesson have produced a shooting script for the purpose of my video. I did this by examining existing video profiles and reflected upon how I would introduce myself. With that done I typed up my writing script and shared with peers to see their opinions.
The third target was to complete and finish research for my video. I completed all necessary research needed and uploaded my script for my video onto blogger.
My fourth target was to complete any filming I needed to do in college. I produce a mind map which showed different platforms and another mind map that shows different uses of video. By the end of the days lesson I had partially finished filming in college as I didn't have enough time nor was all the equipment I needed available. Which resulted in shaky camera work.
The fifth target was to finish all my filming needed for my video profiled and gradually start editing. I did finish all my filming in college but did not manage to start any editing as I ran out of time.
For my sixth target I set myself to edit all my footage that I had recorded. I edited all my footage and even manage to start recorded the voice over for my video. I also typed up my mind map onto blogger in a table layout as I had done it on paper the first time.
I finished editing my video for my seventh task and uploaded my video on youtube which I had to embed onto blogger. I even managed to get feedback from 4 people which were all positive remarks.
Today I set myself my eighth task which was to write my reflective entry on my blogger (maximum of 400 words) and start my review report. I have done my reflective post but currently doing my review report. I'm fundamentally reviewing everything I have done, looking back and reflecting.
Over the gradual time of doing this I learn that I can always catch up if I'm left behind but most of the time I'm with things rather than on top. I perform way better when I have set myself a target, I'm more attentive on getting things done as I know whats needed to be done and expected of me.
I enjoyed the practical work but was left behind at one point and needed to catch up. Although there were other students that were in the same scenario as me it didn't put me as ease. That's a quality that I have learnt frustrates me as a learner falling behind hence why I try to catch up really quickly and be on top of things.
In the future I will try to take full use of lessons and try to complete what ever I possibly can get done.

Reflecting
Based on the feedback/comments I received regarding my video profile, I can say that it turned out good for a first attempt.
One positive aspect people stated about my video were the camera angels. Although, I didn't include the 5 camera shot angle rule in every scene, I used it in each scene with each angle. After looking back and reflecting on my video I realize it was wrong to do so as I could of used the 5 camera shot angle rule in one specific scene which would of portrayed more of a reflective emphasis.
The scene in my video which I'm most fond of is the one where I'm in the radio booth improvising to show just how optimistic I am of pursuing my future career. Those in radio that inspire me I showed before showing myself was so the viewer can get a brief idea of the type of radio I want to go into. It shows my personality and interest to those watching.
I added bloopers to my video so you could get an insight of how it is without all the editing and what goes on 'behind the scenes'. I enjoyed filming my video and I wanted to share those moments. I assume I am the only one with a bloopers addition to my video, as I have yet not seen anyone who has. But I'm glad it was found as an enjoyment to watch.
What would have made the video better is if there was background music. In terms of comparing it with a commercially produced video, it is very rare to find no background music. I felt I wouldn't need it because of there being many scenes with voice over but a minimal amount of music lowered when talking would have made it more exciting to watch.
If I were to do this again, I would do two things differently. I would add background music. I would lower it in my editing where necessary i.e. voiceover or a scene that consists of talking. Also I would use the 5 angles shot rule in at least one scene in specific so the audience would find it more appealing.
However I stuck to my script and tried to interpret it to the best of my ability.
