Introduction to editing

a) Editing is arranging material to fit it to what you want.
Elliptical editing it what defines a videos plot, becuse you are transitioning your shots to omit an event in specific.
Long shots are what show the whole of something, which is effective in establishing the environment around the character in focus.
Every detail counts when it comes to editing.

b) Because the location has been established earlier in the scene, it shows the scene directly from overhead a very unnatural and strange angle. The use of shot-reverse-shot results in cutting back and forth between the 2 male actors, which gives the audience an assumption that they are having a conversation. It is then essential for the eye line between the two to match.
A wipe is a slick transition to move the action to a different setting/location, which is used in the film. The pace and rhythm of this keeps the audience engaged and able to keep up with the story.

c) Crosscutting can be seen as an effective way to show different location in which action may occur. For instance, in a film called 'the edge of the world'  a scene in specific where 2 men are climbing. of course the audience are not attentive towards the editing gone into the scene but focused towards what is happening in the scene. Where then there is a flashback in the same scene, these are often used to fill in a back story of something that may have happened in the past and for the audience to re live/recall whats happened.
